March saw the delivery of the first, of what will be many, 1-day Internet Marketing workshops. Marketing Tom Media’s Social Media Marketing workshop was delivered to 25 to marketing and web directors and managers from FE Colleges across Wales. Delivered on 3 separate days in North, South West and South East Wales, the workshop was designed to explore web 2.0 applications and the impact and potential of social media marketing on FE Colleges.
Throughout the rest of 2008 Marketing Tom Media intends to deliver many more Social Media Marketing workshops across the UK. Other courses, which have already been created and will be rolled out, include: Business Blogging, Google AdWords and Google World.
In April, Alun was invited to deliver an Internet Marketing course to the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia. He was contracted by the European Union as a key expert in Internet Marketing and asked to deliver a 4-day project in Jakarta to marketing and IT staff of this agency. It is hoped that this will develop into a long term relationship when the next phase of the project begins in a few months’ time.
And to cap it all, Marketing Tom Media delivered its first eMarketing Award course in April. Though Alun has delivered the course to over 130 people from a wide variety of backgrounds, this is the first time he has delivered it through his own company. The course included people from the Wales Tourist Board, an engineering firm and a government agency.
In addition to this, Marketing Tom Media has also secured new Internet Marketing contracts with the Welsh Assembly Government, a software development firm, a well-established hotel and a multi-million pound engineering firm.
