PRLog (Press Release) –
May 16, 2008 – Online – The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu has received one of the most notable facelifts in the automotive industry. The makeover is more than just skin deep, though. Chevy has provided many new enhancements for this staple in their line of cars.
The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu is built on the long wheelbase Epsilon platform used by Chevrolet and GM. The Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura also share this platform, though they lack the styling provided to the new Malibu. The base engine for the all-new Malibu is a 169 hp, 2.4L, four cylinder engine, though a larger power plant is available in a 252 hp, 3.6L, V6 engine. Aluminum is the overriding component of both engines, resulting in high-performance, light weight, and extreme durability. A hybrid version of the Malibu is also offered. It should be noted that there is no manual transmission offered in any engine configuration with the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, though fans of front wheel drive will likely not miss this feature.
