The site’s owner, Josie Daga, says that the enhanced search capabilities “will really help brides simplify their dress search by allowing them to view dresses based on multiple criteria.” And she says the improved seller protection “will help protect our sellers from receiving unwanted spam email and scam inquiries – which can be a real problem with internet resale.”
PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com was started in 2004 after its founder tried unsuccessfully to sell her own designer wedding dress. She decided to create a better way to buy and sell wedding dresses and built a site that caters to the needs of both buyers and sellers.
The site specializes in designer gowns by top designers like Vera Wang, Amsale, Reem Acra and Monique Lhuillier. Currently, over 1000 gowns are listed for sale.
