“The reason I started this website,” said founder Rachel Morton of Los Angeles, a 29 year old self-described professional dater, “is that I watched too many of my single friends go through the scenario of dating someone only to have the relationship end abruptly, with many unanswered questions and thoughts racing through our minds. I shared this same pain and frustration more times than I’d like. Those experiences led me on a mission to uncover the truth behind dating mysteries.”
Whether the relationship was long term or never progressed past the first date, WhyWasIDissed.com will investigate the circumstances and attempt to uncover the reasons behind the breakup. To begin an investigation, the user simply fills out some information about themselves, their ex, and the relationship. WhyWasIDissed.com will then contact the former partner and invite them to answer a series of personalized questions accompanied by multiple choice and fill in the blank options. Once they’ve responded, the person who initiated the inquiry will be immediately contacted with the results.
“Sometimes the truth can be hard to take, but we feel that what is painful for a moment can be freeing in the long run. Our hope is that users will move forward and open themselves to new relationships after getting the closure they deserve.” Rachel adds, “We have sympathy for both parties involved. It may be cliché, but breaking up really is hard to do, and the reality is that not everyone belongs together. My goal is to open up the communication barrier in the dating populace and make the entire experience more positive. While providing tools to making it as easy and painless as possible.”
Currently, WhyWasIDissed.com is offering their investigative services free of charge.
