FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
May 14, 2008 – Founded in 1867, Nestlé is a large multinational company with world headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland. It is the largest food company in the world, producing a huge range of food and drink products. The World Food Company operates in more than 100 countries and in many cultures throughout the world.
In its Dubai headquarters, Nestlé Middle East is moving from a legacy ERP system to a new ERP system: SAP. Its aim is to electronically exchange messages with their five logistics service providers in the Middle East Region by integrating its SAP ERP platform with the warehouse management systems of these distributors. This will reduce the order processing time by the LSP and fasten the deliveries to their customers. In order to achieve this goal and to comply with its well-known corporate business principles governing its relationship with their business partner, Nestlé resorted to SNS’ highly qualified consultants, who have shown over the last few years their commitment to delivering quality services and solutions. The integration solution is to include 12 touch points: SKU Import, PO Import, ASN Import, SO Import, ASN Export, SO Export, Storer Import, Pack Import, Adjustment, Hold management, and 2 Stock Reconciliation touch points. The integration solution will ensure the synchronisation and data integrity of the different databases, and increase visibility, and productivity. By ensuring the electronic transfer of this data, the integration layer will result in lower costs, faster purchase and sales order processing time and thus higher customer service levels. “Nestlé insists on honesty, integrity, and quality in all aspects of its business and expects the same in its relationships with all business partners and suppliers.” said Mr. X, Nestlé Manager. “And SNS reputation and success record are the key reasons for requiring their services and expertise on this strategic project.” “We are proud that leading companies such as Nestlé continue to select our services and solutions to help them meet their unique business needs.” said Mario Ghosn, SNS Senior Manager. “We are looking forward to being part of this project and providing Nestlé with the quality services they are expecting.” About Nestlé Founded by Henri Nestlé in 1866 in Switzerland while developing the first infant food for baby, Nestle is the world's largest food company employing over 230,000 employees and annual sales of more than US$ 75 billion. Nestlé products are available in nearly every country around the world and include household brands right across the board including: Nescafe - the world's biggest brand of instant coffee; dairy products, such as Nestle Condensed Milk and Carnation Milk; mineral water, such as Perrier and Vittel; breakfast cereals such as Shredded Wheat; chocolate and confectionery, including the best selling confectionery product, Kit Kat; ice cream; and chilled desserts. Nestle Middle East was set up in 1997 in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), and serves the Middle East market through its regional headquarters in Jafza in Dubai. # # # About SNS
