2008 Monaco Charity Film Festival Opens with much glamour and festivity

3rd annual Monaco Charity Feilm Festival opened at the Fairmont Hotel Monaco

PRLog (Press Release)May 14, 2008 – The third annual Monaco Charity Film Festival was opened yesterday, May 13 with the screening of Joe Zimmerman's FORCE OF THE SPIRIT.
The movie was amazing - a documentary about courage and triumph in the face of adversity.
The Monaco Film Festival was launched 3 years ago to help upcoming talent promote their films and secure financing and distribution for their movies.
The oepning coctail party and dinner was well attended and a big success.
This years Gala Dinner event on May 17 will be hosted by the famous actor Tommy Lee Jones - who will receive a lifetime achievement award for his great contribution to the film industry and to young film makers.
On Thursday, May 15, the event organizer - Mr. Vicente-Andres Zaragoza - organized a meeting between HRH Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. Both Prince will meet at the Palace of Prince Albert to discuss their charity activities and the betterment of the environment. After the meeting, a cocktail dinner will be held at the Fairmont Hotel to celebrate all the charitable activities of HRH Prince Alwaleed.
With only 24 hours since the opening of the Monaco Chairty Film Festival - we can already see that the 2008 event will be a great success for new and talented film makers and for the Charity Beneficiary of this years event - the Virlanie Foundation - that help the poor street children in the Philippines. Virlanie is one of the main beneficiaries of Princess Caroline's AMADE Charity Organization and has already received an 8 million donation from the Monaco Charity Film Festival (MCFF). MCFF recently bought a house that can provide shelter for for about 50 children in the Virlanie Foundation compound. MCFF has requested the famous architect Mr. Shigeru Ban to donate some of his time to build a small building on the MCFF-Virlanie property to house more children. Mr. Ban is expected to attend the Gala Dinner on May 17 and to announce his particiaption and contribution to MCFF and Virlanie
