George was until 2005 principal of Crowther Hall, the Centre for Management and Mission Studies in Selly Oak, Birmingham, and CMS UK Director of Mission Education. He brings to Trinity a missional spirituality and an exciting range of international relationships, experiences, knowledge and gifts. His knowledge of the Church of England is enriched by his active involvement in the Anglican Communion (he is international co-ordinator of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion, founded by John Stott), the Orthodox family of Churches, the Church in China and the Black Majority Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches. He has travelled extensively teaching and encouraging Christians to be faithful to Scripture, to be passionate about mission and evangelism, nurturing disciples and challenging them to become disciplers. He is committed to every member ministries and to nurturing leadership at all levels of the Church. George is married to Chitra and they have three children, Timothy, Joshua and Esther. George's spiritual and ethnic roots are in the ancient Orthodox Church of St Thomas in India. He was ordained in the Church of North India, which is a United Church and a member Church of the Anglican Communion. George has an exciting and vibrant international ministry in Britain and Europe as an evangelist and as a Bible teacher, spiritual director, leading clergy study days, ordination retreats, parish and deanery quiet days. He is a regular speaker at Spring Harvest and Greenbelt.
He has been a member of the General Synod of the Church of England for ten years and is a Chaplain to the Queen. His home life is full of music, robust discussions and laughter. He reads widely and enjoys sport (he represented India in the World Sailing Championships)
