Minnesota College Students Plan Fundraiser to Benefit The American Red Cross Twin Cities Area

PRLog (Press Release) – May 13, 2008 – Culinary Arts students attending The International Culinary School at The Art Institutes International Minnesota have decided to come together and plan a fundraiser dinner that will directly benefit the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area. The dinner will held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 7 pm to 9 pm in the school’s dining lab, the Gourmet Gallery, located at 15 South 9th Street in downtown Minneapolis. The dinner is $50 per person and all proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area. This event is planned and staffed by Culinary Arts students attending The International Culinary School at The Art Institutes International Minnesota as part of a classroom project.

The dinner will consist of a four-course menu featuring the freshest Minnesota produce. Beverages include sodas, juices, and house red and white wine. Baking & Pastry students from The International Culinary School at The Art Institutes International Minnesota will prepare fresh breads for the event. The menu consists of Baby Spinach Soup with Crème Fraîche, an entrée of Braised Lamb Shank with Artichoke and Tomato Stew, and dessert will be a Champagne Fruit Jelly Martini.

“Students have invested a lot of time in planning this event” says Anj Kozel, Director of Communications for the school. “The students came together with the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area to plan this event and we are all very proud of their work.”
