Irwin Marine Announces Boating Safety Courses

PRLog (Press Release) – May 13, 2008 – Irwin Marine in cooperation with the Coast Guard Auxiliary hosted a one day Boating Safety Course that culminated in 65 people acquiring their New Jersey Boater's Operators License.  The state of New Jersey has a program to phase in Boat Operators Licenses over a five year period.  

This is the second year that Irwin Marine has hosted this course.  Of the 65 people who attended, over 20 had a perfect score of 100.  The Auxiliary instructors had indicated that they had never seen such a good performance by any other class that they have held.  One student who passed the test was under the minimum operator age of 16.

Irwin Marine, for any of their customers who had bought boats from Irwin's, paid for their course fee.  Irwin's also paid for any parking in the municipal lot due to overflow of vehicles.  Irwin's also provided coffee and donuts before the class started and provided lunch, beverages and snacks throughout the day.  During the afternoon break the staff of Irwin's handed out a gift package to all attendees which contained brochures, monogrammed T-shirts and key chain floats in Boaters Edge shopping bags.  

Irwin Marine is a charter member of Boaters Edge which will have it's official rollout in May of this year.  Look for details on our website and in boating publications.  In addition Irwin Marine is hosting two Irwin Marine "Adventure Cruises" in June and August for their customers.

In conjunctions with Wendt Productions and Fours Winns Boats Irwin Marine will be hosting "Women in Boating" the weekend of July 19th. This is a nationally sponsored program by Four Winns specifically designed for women who wish to acquire boating and docking skills.
