More than 4,100 new cases of diabetes are diagnosed each day, making it the fifth deadliest disease in the country, according to the American Diabetes Association.  Diabetes is associated with an increased risk for a number of serious, sometimes life-threatening, complications including heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, blindness and nervous system diseases.  Proper diabetes management can greatly reduce the risk of complications.  Disaboom’s diabetes resource center offers a comprehensive section where people can get the latest information on diabetes and to talk with others who understand the disease.
