Hosting Company Rackspasevalley Introduces Text Message Notification Service

Soon the company’s clients will be able to receive text messages on their mobile phones notifying them of their server status according to their adjusted flags. The service will be tested starting May 19, 2008. Rackspacevalley is a provider of hosting services. The software installed and maintained includes PHP, MySQL and Apache. Each account also includes unlimited POP account, email aliases. The main electrical room provides clean, consistent power via multiple redundant switchgears and UPS systems. Two diesel generators with 8,000 gallons of fuel are on stand-by to ensure consistent power supply to the facility. Consistent temperature and humidity ranges in the Data Center uses the latest technologies in fire protection including a VESDA early smoke detection system, an FM-200 gas-based fire suppression system, and a double pre-action dry pipe fire suppression system.
