May 13, 2008 – After Mike Nichol's Charlie Wilson's War, Om Puri our most internationally-engaged actor is all set to do another international film.
It's a sequel to one of the most successful international films, East Is East.
While that film was set in London and the sequel — West Is West — moves to Pakistan.
However, the film will not be shot in Pakistan because the producers will not get the permission,it will be shot either in India or Morocco.
While East Is East was directed by Damien O'Donnell, the sequel which begins shooting early next year, will have an Indian director.
