May 12, 2008 – Kathryn Kerrigan, Top Shoe Designer and Female Entrepreneur, to Appear at KATclothing.com's ‘Trendy Tall Chicks’ Trunk Show
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Shoe lovers across the metro can meet up-and-coming designer, Kathryn Kerrigan, on Sat., May 31, at a spring trunk show for trendy tall chicks presented by KATclothing.com from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The View Condominiums, 600 E. Admiral Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Kerrigan, Inc. magazine's 2007 No. 1 female entrepreneur under the age of 30, will showcase her spring/summer shoe line in sizes 6 to 15, and KATclothing.com will offer trendy clothing targeting women 5 feet 8 inches and taller. Motivated by her own struggle to find stylish shoes in size 11, Kerrigan, a former collegiate basketball player, is changing the footwear landscape for women who wear sizes 9 to 15 by offering fashionable, elegant styles that were previously unavailable. Each pair is handcrafted by artisans in Spain using the finest materials, which has Kerrigan's customers raving about the quality, comfort and style of her shoes. In just two years, Kerrigan's shoes have been sold to Amazon and featured in InStyle Magazine, Footwear News and Women's Wear Daily. KATclothing.com owner and Kansas City, Mo., resident Kat Rauber, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall, was frustrated by the lack of trendy clothing available for tall women. A former collegiate volleyball player, she founded KATclothing.com for “tall chicks” who want trendy clothing in longer lengths. The site features career/casual slacks and denim in 35-, 36- and 37-inch inseams, skirts, jackets and stylish shoes in sizes 9 to14. To preview items featured in the trunk show, visit: www.kathrynkerrigan.com or www.KATclothing.com. # # # About Kathryn Kerrigan Footwear: Kathryn Kerrigan is a former collegiate basketball turned entrepreneur. She remembered scouring six malls to find fashionable prom shoes in size 11 and continued to be frustrated by the lack of style in larger sizes. In January of 2006 she started her own design company and now sells sandals, pumps, boots and flats in sizes Euro 36-46 (US 6-15).
