PRLog (Press Release) –
May 12, 2008 – CINCINNATI, OH - Allusions, a local hair restoration studio, and Green Middle School recently partnered for Locks of Love. Allusions staff members came to the school during the last week in April, and students volunteered to have their hair cut. Overall, about 100 inches of hair were donated. The donated hair will be used to create the highest quality hair prosthetics for children with medical hair loss.
The staff at Allusions knows how traumatic it is for people who have hair loss, and they saw this as an opportunity to educate children about hair loss, as well as help a great cause. Jeanne Sheldon, owner of Allusions, appreciated the students’ participation in the event. “Their donations will help children who are experiencing hair loss and are in need of a hair replacement wig,” said Sheldon. The following students participated in the event: Alma Rechnitzen, Juliet Knechtly, Allison Salach, Jenni Weber, Elizabeth Reece, Lucy Farr, Lydia Sloan and Tali Bailes. For their participation, each of the girls received a gift bag and gift certificate for a free haircut. The school took photos and filmed the entire process.
