Marketing language is strictly forbidden from the site and all information is fiercely controlled to remain objective and factual.

Employers and recruiters are also able to use the site entirely free of charge and may edit their profiles as frequently as they wish. Employers find that by providing "warts and all" information about careers, the relevancy of job applicants improves. "If candidates have all the information available to them before they make an application, they will make more suitable applications, which benefits recruiters as much as applicants" says Chris Muktar. "In the past candidates were only able to find out about jobs from adverts or marketing material; companies were in total control of the recruitment process. Web 2.0, and websites like WikiJob help put candidates firmly back in control of the job search process by allowing access to a wealth of information previously unavailable.
