Solutions Centre, founded in 2004 by Insoo Kim Berg and Arnoud Huibers, is an international organization which aims to disseminate the Solution Focused Model through training and consultation. The Solution Focused Therapy Model was developed by Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg and their team in the 1980’s in Milwaukee, U.S. Steve and Insoo discovered that by talking with the client about the preferred future, significant progress was made and that exploring the problem-saturated past was not a necessity for change.
The Solution Focused Model is now widely spread. Books and articles are published in many languages. There is a worldwide interest in the model, not only from the therapeutic field but also from management, education and healthcare.
