"I believe there is an increasing demand in the community for assistance with family law issues and representation in criminal matters," Ern Phang, solicitor director of Phang Legal commented, "unfortunately, supply does not always meet that demand. Access to competent professional legal services is often out of reach for many disadvantaged individuals. More and more people are encountering mortgage stress and financial hardship, which can prevent them from retaining a lawyer for advice or representation. We hope to bridge that gap and meet that demand as part of our contribution back to the community by offering pro bono services."
Phang Legal actively assists the Pro Bono Scheme and Community Referral Scheme run by the Law Society of New South Wales, and aside from assisting individuals, Phang Legal also donates time and services to various not-for-profit community organisations on a voluntary basis.
Phang Legal has been serving the community since 2002.
