Norway's most famous tourist attraction, Norway's water producers extol the
virtues of the country's water.
"Who would have imagined that products from countries with Artic images
would be so hot," said Norvald Waldersnes of Agotnes, Norway, whose company
invests in beverage companies from Iceland to Alaska. "Most Europeans
perceive Norway as being the last pristine, fresh environment left on the
European continent, and this image carries over to any product that has the
word Norway or Iceland on
it."
The "Saint" of waters is Sankt Olav Norwegian Spring Water which comes
from deep underground springs in an environmentally pristine area of Norway.
Named for Sankt Olav, the Viking King who drank from the Spring in the
Year 1028.
"Sankt Olav is positioned as a premium brand as part of the European Spa
treatment, European Women know that beautiful skin is easy to achieve, you
simply drink pure spring water every day and splash your face with ice cold
spring mineral water, this encourages the skin's own natural functions, so
it regulates itself without the aid of expensive exfoliating and
rejuvenating lotions," explains Mildred Norderhus, President of Sankt Olav
Spring Water A/S.
"Sank Olav is 'avoir la vogue' with today's international sportswear
style" said Bonnie-Jean CARTIER, a South Beach Model at a photo shoot in
Miami's South Beach, a natural for Sankt Olav. Beverage Marketing USA Inc.'s
foray into the bottled water business remains exploratory with Sankt Olav
brand for the immediate future. However, Sankt Olav may get a packaging
facelift and be sold under the "Scandinavia"
repositioning has potential says Beverage Marketing USA's President,
Richard H. Davis.
