Goethe's Faust published by PR Seitz Bookseller

PRLog (Press Release) – May 09, 2008 – Faust is considered by many to be the best work of German Literature.  Written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in the early nineteenth century, Faust has been never been out of print since.  Touting numerous english translation versions, the translation by Bayard Taylor is singularly unique in that Taylor kept the original poetic meter of the work, a feat all the more remarkable in that the rhythm and rhyme closely match the original german.

PR Seitz Bookseller has produced an edition of the work that was specifically designed to be easy to read in both printed form and as an ebook.  The font and spacing keep in mind that the consumer of books today are looking for printed media that they can read on a variety of platforms from printed material, to laptop ebooks, to iphones, this text easily moves across technological boundries.

The cover was designed and illustrated by artist Tedd Luke of Seattle Washington.  His vision of the work was to make this compelling classical work, accessible and modern.  The themes of Faust are indeed issues still present in society today, the cover illustration demonstrates this with bold vibrant colors that it is hoped will draw new readers to pick up the book.
