On May 24 Michael Aquino will be hosting the second installment of Indie Music Circus, a monthly music showcase for independent musicians at Broad Street Playhouse in Pianos Bar and Grill, 36 Broad St., Bloomfield, NJ.  Sue Remus, Gene-Manuel + Michael Morgan and Alisa Harmon + The Rickman will be featured this month.

Sue Remus has been playing guitar for over 15 years.  In college she was in various original projects playing lead and writing rock/pop songs.  Joining the cover scene for a while, she played in the Springsteen tribute band "Thunder Road", and is now working with a country/southern rock cover band and a Billy Joel/Elton John tribute.  In the past year she has unearthed many old originals and begun writing new material.

Gene-Manuel and Michael Morgan have been collaborating since 2000 when they formed part of the band Something Bliss.  Since the band’s demise, the two have continued to work on music, culminating in the release of Gene-Manuel’s first solo debut cd, Sophisticated Kink.  Eschewing conventional songwriting and recording methods, Gene-Manuel and Michael continue to broaden their musical boundaries and keep the genre-hopping alive with their upcoming release The Not Exactly Belonging.  For more on Gene-Manuel and Michael Morgan visit http://www.gene-manuel.com.

Alisa Harmon, mother of 3, is the director of HARMONIZE, LLC, which offers music classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.  She also provides music therapy support for the Developmental Learning Center - Montclair's only pre-school for children with special needs. Alisa is the managing member of the Parents Who Rock tangent group, Women of PoWeR: A Bunch O' Goddesses, which gives her yet another platform to prove that not only can she sing, but she is one hot mama. Entrance is $7 and $5 for Students with a valid ID.  Food and drink are available in the smoke-free Broad Street Playhouse.  For more information on Michael Aquino please visit http://www.something-artsy.com.  For more information on Piano’s Bar and Grill visit http://www.pianosbarandgrill.com.
