Superslow Zone® Announces San Jose Facilty

Premier Professional Service Setting First in Area to Offer SuperSlow® Strength Training

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)May 06, 2008 – SuperSlow Zone® (SSZ), the distinctive national exercise and health franchise that offers SuperSlow® strength training, today announced the opening of its San Jose, CA. location. SSZ, located at 5988 Silver Creek Valley Road, Suite 55, will be the area’s first to integrate the SuperSlow® exercise protocol with programs designed for weight loss, healthy eating and aging graciously.

SSZ, Silver Creek (San Jose) will offer personalized fitness, and in the near future nutrition, programs based on each client’s goals. SSZ’s clients enter a ‘professional service setting’ for their workout.  Time-efficient personal strength training enables a total body workout in 20-minutes performed one-to-two times a week. The program is achieved under the direct supervision of SuperSlow® certified instructors in a distraction-free, climate-controlled exercise environment. Clients can workout in their street or work clothes – they get in, get out and get on with their busy lives.

“Opening this new location enables us to expose San Jose to the remarkable benefits of SuperSlow® exercise,” said Marie Ortiz, owner of SSZ Silver Creek. Ortiz, a former executive of the financial services and technology industries for over 20 years, has been an active client of SuperSlow herself for over a year and a half.  Having purchased additional franchise rights for the area, Ortiz said, “I am always looking for ways to help my clients work smarter, not harder.  I can vouch for the benefit of SuperSlow to those with active lives in Silicon Valley.  I truly represent the service as a “real life” example and advocate for its benefits, for both myself and my family as we juggle to fit exercise into our busy schedules.”

SuperSlow® truly embodies the definition of complete exercise by properly and safely building muscle and increasing the resting metabolism, allowing the body to burn more calories even while at rest. “The unique slow and smooth resistance techniques are embraced by the American Heart Association because they were designed to be safe, efficient and most importantly, effective,” said Madeline Ross, CEO of SuperSlow® Zone, LLC. “Clients are supervised by Certified SuperSlow® Instructors on Nautilus One™ strength training equipment. This combination provides clients the synergy needed for exceptional results.”

The Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness published a study that found the SuperSlow® method resulted in a 50% greater increase in strength compared with faster and momentum-aided weight training.
