May 05, 2008 – Sportbikegurls.com will be holding its Inaugural rally on July 28th and 29th 2008 at Fontana Village, Fontana Dam, North Carolina. With over 60 people set to attend the Gurls are ready to ride the infamous Dragon (318 curves in 11 miles) and raise money for Breast Cancer Research. All money raised will be donated to The Breast Cancer Fund after rally costs.

In the last ten years women motorcycle riders have nearly doubled. Women now make up about 10 percent of the riding population and 25 percent of all new motorcycle sales purchases. But, even with that, there are not a lot of places for women to go to learn about things like gear, riding information, technical talk and such.
