FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)May 05, 2008 – A little realm immersed amidst the green hills of Tabiano. This is the Beauty Farm Alhambra which takes its name from the ancient palaces of the Andalusian kings.
With its exclusive treatments the Beauty Centre will keep stress, fatigue and tiredness at a distance, just as the sultans used to do with the invasors.
Inside Grand Hotel Terme Astro there is a haven in which to forget the frenzied pace of modern life and to indulge in the hammam. Born as a religious ritual, the Turkish bath has become a practice of wellness, a ritual to discover ancient traditions and to reach a new balance between mind and body.

Let's start our voyage to North Africa. Black soap, argan oil and Rassoul are the main ingredients used in the Beauty Farm Alhambra to accomplish the perfect treatment according to the Maroccan style. These products, combined with a programme through a series of rooms with different temperatures and humidities, provide a deep purification, giving the skin a more elastic, luminous and soft aspect.

Eastern Vapours Programme

The programme starts in the Tepidarium with music and a cup of mint tea. The body gradually gets used to the temperature (35°-40°) and the mind forgets the cares of life. In this phase you will be invited to rub your body with black soap, a special paste of olives and mineral salts, that prepares the skin for the scrub that follows. The black soap is rubbed down vigorously on the body and then rinsed off.
In the Calidarium (45°-55°) aromatherapy vapours will wrap men and women in order to get ready for the gommage: using a special mitt, the skin becomes extremely soft and smooth. This exfoliating ritual also helps to reactivate circulation.
The third step is the Frigidarium (28°-30°), characterized by a pleasurable revitalizing session in the spa tub.
Last moment of the journey: lying on comfortable chaise-longues you will enjoy the extraordinary sensation of wellness and relax of the Eastern Vapours Programme, accompanied by infusions, dried fruit and special sweets.

Alhambra Hammam Programme

Another sensorial journey that starts in the Tepidarium with the savonnage treatment, the application of the black soap will prepare the body for the exfoliating ritual in the Tepidarium. After the gommage, time for the hydromassage in the frigidarium. You will be now ready to meet the liquid gold, a massage with the precious Argan oil, obtained by the seeds of a plant which grows in Morocco. Lying on preheated benches indulge in the relaxing atmosphere of the Alhambra Hammam. A tempting note: infusions, dried fruit and special sweets.

Arabian Nights Programme

In order to extend the pleasures of the hammam benefits, this programme includes an antistress massage. Thirty minutes of pure delight: the armonious and slow movements with the Argan oil eliminate muscular tension and relax the nervous system. Fatigue and worry will disappear. This is a real fairy-tale programme.

Sherazade Hammam Programme

The tales told by Sherazade, night after night, make the sultan fall in love with the young bride. For the Sherazade Hammam it takes only a few minutes to get enchanted.
After the tepidarium and caledarium rooms, you will find a plus session in the Rassoul, an environment with a temperature of 35°-45°, ideal for the application of “Terre de Ghassoul”. A hand and foot pack with this soap clay enhanced with mineral salts and blended with rose water purify and regenerate the skin, especially after the savonnage and gommage. A pack with Argan oil will finish this Hammam session. It is the time for the hydromassage in the frigidarium and then an antistress massage with Argan oil. The best way to end up this wonderful treatment is to relax with infusions. fruits and special sweets.
