2 Hour House Leaders Build the Impossible

Adversity Causes Some Men to Break; Others to Break Records

Amazon’s #1 Best Selling Author, Brian Conaway and 800 plus volunteers built the impossible: a 2,249 square foot house in less than three hours.  Setting a world record, helping six charities and overcoming the skeptics and naysayers turned out to be the smallest feat.  The two-year process to achieve this goal forever impacted the construction industry and is transforming how America builds… everything.

Two years went into the planning of the 2 Hour House project. Each phase of construction was assigned a specific time allocation for completion.  The concrete slab, which usually takes three days to cure enough to bear the weight of a house, was allocated 30 minutes but only took 22 minutes.  Installing the garage door, a project that frequently takes one day was allocated ten minutes and took only three.  Revolutionary procedures in personnel management and building techniques enabled Conaway and his volunteers to build the entire home to code in two hours, fifty-two minutes, and twenty-nine seconds, setting records and building the impossible.

The implications of such an endeavor are sweeping the nation one “impossible” at a time, fueling America’s ability to compete better in a global economy by building smarter and more efficiently.  For example, The Texas Department of Transportation’s interest in the 2 Hour House quick-drying concrete formula, perfected by Transit Mix, reflects the lessons learned from the 2 Hour House project. Today, as a result, they are expediting highway repairs.

Perpetuating this cause was a natural next step and in 2008,  Brian Conaway and business partner Jose Feliciano formed a company called 2 Hour House to provide tools and support to those who have the desire to build their own “impossible.”  Conaway notes, “we’ve provided leaders with the most powerful tool they need: a process for generating innovative ideas and constructing visionary dreams.”

America’s greatness has always rested on the belief that to determine whether something is impossible, you have to try it.
