“With AceProject 4.5, people can actually manage their projects, without the system getting in their way. We’ve built AceProject to reduce the time project managers need to spend in their account, while still being up-to-date on the project’s activity,” explains Daniel Raymond, CEO of Websystems.
New Gantt Charts, Templates and Skins
AceProject version 4.5 features completely redesigned Gantt charts, in flash format. The new Gantt charts now show task dependencies with a dotted line. They are also easier to print and can be exported to JPG format with a simple right-click on the chart.
To make it easier to work with project templates, AceProject has introduced dynamic templates with the Parent/Child Project Relationship feature. When a project has a parent, its structure is dynamically linked to the parent project’s structure, and is automatically updated when the parent project is modified.
Sylvain Traversy, Director of Customer Service at Websystems, adds: “My favorite new feature is the skinning, which gives our client the freedom of choosing their account’s colors.” Eight customizable color themes are now available, so that organizations can make AceProject fit with their corporate image, at no extra cost. “Before the skinning feature was implemented, customers had to pay for custom work to change their project management software’s colors. Now they can do it for free,” explains Traversy.

A Blog and User’s Forum
Along with AceProject 4.5, Websystems is proud to launch its new user community. Comprised of a blog and a discussion forum, AceProject’s user community provides a platform where users can talk back.
“More than just a way to exchange ideas with one another, AceProject’s user community is there to create a dialog between our team here at Websystems, and everyone who is using AceProject,”
