Shoe lovers in Chicago will soon have the opportunity to meet up-and-coming designer Kathryn Kerrigan of Libertyville, who was named Inc. Magazine’s 2007 #1 female entrepreneur under the age of 30. Kathryn will make a special appearance at Alternatives on Michigan Avenue on Saturday, May 10, to introduce her exciting spring/summer 2008 collection and host a trunk show.
Motivated by her own struggle to find stylish shoes in size 11, this former Lake Forest College basketball player is changing the footwear landscape for women who wear size Euro 40-46 (US 9-15) by offering fashionable, elegant styles that were previously unavailable. Each pair is handcrafted by artisans in Spain using the finest materials, which has Kathryn’s customers raving about the quality, comfort and style of her shoes. In just two years she has sold to Amazon.com and been featured in InStyle Magazine, Footwear News and Women's Wear Daily.
