Damron wrote Tiny Toes to educate readers on the medical aspects of infertility and prematurity. She also wanted to share her story of struggle to give readers the hope that they, too, can survive these challenges and create a joyful life for themselves. "The book is really about relationships and how a personal struggle can impact a person’s emotional well-being along with their friendships and family relations," says Damron.
The author, Damron, is an active volunteer for the Arizona chapter of the March of Dimes as the 2008 co-chair of the Family Teams Committee. She is also the treasurer and advocacy chair for the Arizona affiliate of RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. Damron has authored articles on both infertility and premature births and is an educational speaker on these topics.
