Lara Akinsanya is a multi-talented designer with a keen eye for color, pattern and line who understands how clothing should drape a woman’s body to fully enhance each individual shape. Lara grew up in Nigeria and draws inspiration from African fabrics and styles. She uses mostly African Lace and Prints (wax and brocade) to create her one-of-a-kind pieces.
L~Shandi designs are a mix of western designs with traditional African fabrics in a way that gives you the freedom to create your own look by integrating them with your existing wardrobe. Lara’s unique dresses, skirts, tops and shorts are showcased exclusively at Caramel.
