ColorGoRound was established in 2007, in Walled Lake, Michigan by Kari Papadopoulos and Sandra Abrams. “Our company”, said Abrams, “is all about children, and making the world a more colorful place, one fingerprint at a time.” Papadopoulos adds, “We love to see children shine while creating works of their own. Without inhibitions or doubts, children are pros at creating masterpieces from their hearts and soul.” The company’s goal is to capture these moments and to make them last a lifetime.
The company’s beginnings are a classic story of a mom, grandma, and a child. “We were playing with Matteo one afternoon finger painting,” explains Papadopoulos, Matteo’s mother, “and Matteo’s Grandma and I decided that we had so much fun, we wanted to keep the memory to share with Matteo when he was grown.” Grandma Abrams had related to Papadopoulos that she no longer had the pictures and paintings that were created when her children were young. “We all have good intentions”, she said and meant to keep them for framing later. But life is very busy and sooner or later the drawings and painting ended up in a drawer, tattered and torn. Determined not to let that happen to her grandchildren’
