Justine Clarke Announces Australian Tour For 2008!

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 30, 2008 – Children and grown-ups all over the country will delight in this warm and funny collection of cool new songs for kids, brought to life by one of Australia’s favourite artists.

Fresh from last year’s sell-out season at the Sydney Opera House, Justine will be touring Australia from July 2008, traveling with her fantastic band of talented musicians. In her new show Justine journeys through a fun filled musical landscape singing old favourites and cool songs for kids from her new cd SONGS TO MAKE YOU SMILE.

Well known to her young audiences as one of ABC’s Play School presenters, Justine is also a talented actor, having recently appeared in the acclaimed television series Love my Way as Julia’s estranged sister Simone. She also played the title role of Meryl Lee in 2006’s AFI-winning feature film Look Both Ways - although many parents may fondly remember Justine best as the much-loved Ruth ‘Roo’ Stewart on Home and Away!  

A busy mother of two, Justine is regularly seen on stage, appearing most recently in Toy Symphony at Belvoir St. Theatre and in others such as A Kind Of Alaska/Reunion, Man with Five Children, Cyrano de Bergerac and Hedda Gabler for the Sydney Theatre Company. Justine’s love of the stage is evident in her live children’s shows and it’s this passion for theatre that makes the SONGS TO MAKE YOU SMILE live show so magical.

Produced by the same team behind the hit CD/DVD I Like To Sing!, SONGS TO MAKE YOU SMILE is a playful romp through the imagination, inviting children to dance along to I Can Tickle Myself and Dancin’ Pants, to be a dinosaur in Dinosaur Roar!, a tiger, monkey, climber and driver in the funky Imagination and to ponder If My Teddy Bear Could Talk and Why Does The Baby Cry? These thought-provoking, warm-hearted tunes will soon be everyone’s favourites - be it on stage, in the car or at home!
