PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 29, 2008 – Sidema is proud to announce the closed beta testing for the first publicly available implementation of the W3C SCXML draft in C++. SCXML (State Chart XML) defines an easy way of describing a finite state machine through an XML file. SCXML can describe complex finite state machines with sub-states, parallel states, synchronisation and concurrency.
SSCXML (Simple State Chart XML) empowers developers to easily integrate the new standard into their applications, reducing development time and increasing the application flexibility.
“SCXML is a powerful way to describe your application without any need of programming.“
says Sidema founder Stefan Maton. “Thanks to the boundless possibilities offered by this standard, developers may not only describe application work flow but also application-user interaction such as speech recognition dialogues, expert system interaction, and application menu handling. Even artificial intelligence systems can be specified.”
Sidema's implementation called SSCXML will enter closed beta testing in mid May. Interested developers can subscribe to this beta test, which is limited to 25 testers, on the SSCXML web site (http://www.sscxml.com). You can visit the Sidema web site here: http://www.sidema.be
