Wanderlust and Lipstick is Developing New Video Series to Inform and Encourage Women to Travel

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 30, 2008 – Seattle, WA.     A new video series is being developed to provide women travelers with knowledge and confidence to head out and discover the joys of traveling.  The series is titled Wanderlust and Lipstick.   Since traveling these days is more complicated than ever before, this series aims to open doors and break barriers for women to feel more secure and less hesistant to travel.  It is being produced by Wanderlust and Lipstick.com and Wide World HD Productions.   Both companies are located in Seattle, Washington.  The series is hosted by Beth Whitman (national women’s travel author and founder of Wanderlust and Lipstick.com).

The premise of this 6-part video series is to provide a vehicle to specifically cover travel issues, ideas and concerns from a women’s point of view.  “Many travel videos show great places to visit but they seldom go into detail on what it took to get there.”  states John Wehman (Producer for Wanderlust and Lipstick and Wide World HD Productions).   “Preparation and understanding on the many issues of international travel can build confidence and many times can make the difference in creating a wonderful travel experience.”

Each segment in the series will meet up with host Beth Whitman and other women travelers on location.  They will discuss and share their own lessons gained during their travel adventures.  Topics will include understanding cultures and customs, staying healthy and safe, language barriers, foreign currency, handling medical emergencies, women traveling alone and in groups, meeting strangers, how to find great places to visit, transportation and lodging issues, clothing and accessory concerns, packing tips, planning details, and feeling confident.

“The subjects we’ll be covering will have a definite purpose to help make travel less intimidating and more fun for women… The best advice for women will come directly from the women we interview who are actively traveling.” states Wehman.
