Merger brings expanded customer base, new market sectors and benefits of significant cross-selling opportunities
The acquisition reinforces the overall business specialist positioning in the industrial consumable market. Additionally, the new combination creates synergies that will greatly accelerate the rate of revenue growth of our business, ensure better geographical coverage, and allow growth of our business in mainland Europe.
The Marnic business and brand is highly praised and recognised. It will continue to operate as a separate trading entity building significant value within the combined operation.
Through the merger, both businesses will enlarge its product portfolio and will be adding speciality product ranges such as specialist tapes, adhesives and protection materials. As a result we will strengthen its position as a specialist distributor for customers and will expand its technical sales proposition with a number of world class suppliers.
As Mark Hughes, RW Greeff managing director explained, “The purchase of Marnic is consistent with our aggressive growth strategy and expansion into key new market sectors such as construction. Through Marnic, our entry into the construction consumables market greatly enhances our status as a niche technical distributor, portable at a Pan European level to both customers and suppliers. Marnic management has done an exceptional job in developing the business since the company’s inception in establishing and serving a strong and loyal customer and supplier base. We are delighted that they are remaining with us to accelerate our combined growth strategies.”
