When it's time for a yard sale or spring cleaning what do you do? Have you planned a yard sale and it got rained out or nobody showed up and you had to move things twice? There is something that you should know about yard sales. It's not just luck or timing. Although, a little bit of that never hurts. When we spoke to the owner Kimberly Stowe about this subject she said "how many people know and how easy you make it for them to get there is what really counts." She went on to explain that her web site is registered with over a million search engines and it reaches out to people all over the world. They do have some services that they offer. Such as digital picture taking and consignment deals where you don't have to answer calls or emails. They will actually send someone to your house to write a listing for a cost less than you would think. This is a great web site to check out at http://www.onlineyardsaletreasures.com The web site is still young and does not have alot of listings yet, but does have a listing form you can send in for a free listing. They are anxious to get the community involved and started, so find something to list and help them get the site off ground.
I found it to be a very interesting idea and finding Kimberly the owner to be an ambitious business woman who seems determined to make it work what ever the obstacles may be. She really seemed to understand her objectives and she plans to be very aggressive in advertising and working on really boosting the people to people word of mouth idea as her best sales tool. I will write another article in a month or so and update Kimberly’s progress. In the mean time let me go home and find some items for me to list.
