FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Apr 25, 2008 – Nigerian born author is telling American women not to throw it away and to take pride in what they become by not giving up themselves in the reckless pursuit of love and acceptance.

Life coach and speaker Vivian Elebiyo, who is the author of My Virginity is Ruining My Sex Life and A Single Lady’s Guide to Self-Packaging: Understanding the Art of Getting Yourself Together is helping women and teen girls to approach abstinence in a realistic way. Vivian shows women how to regain their dignity and self esteem not as outsiders but as whole people and even as leaders.

“Women are getting the proverbial mixed message,” says Elebiyo, author and host of the online radio talk show Sex and the Single, which airs every Saturday on www.blogtalkradio.com/datingundertheinfluence“But my work is all about making things crystal clear.”

Elebiyo comes by both her desire for clarity and her wisdom honesty. She hails from a country where women are taught at a very young age that sex is bad while – in a complete conflict of interest – men are coached on the art of sexual conquest.
While things are different in the United States says Elebiyo, it is often difficult for women who crave love, but who wish to remain virgins until their wedding night, to figure out how to foster and develop healthy dating relationships.

“Ignorance is bliss, but education is freedom,” says Elebiyo, a Florida certified abstinence educator. “It’s important to learn about the pitfalls of dating in order to make sound decisions about what you want out of life, and how to develop relationships that support these goals.

Don’t let the title of her book fool you, it is not about missing out on something. It is about gaining a whole new perspective on who you are and the self confidence and dignity that women can have through abstinence and waiting. Yes, Vivian is not ashamed to say “waiting for marriage.”

Vivian has experience and many hours already spent in counseling women and teens that have been victimized and fallen prey to the socially acceptable norms of dating that exist today. Her approach is well defined, usable or practical and offers powerful reasons why waiting is not just a choice it is the best choice by far!

Top internet writer Michael Bresciani said in an article about Elebiyo “The general consensus is; do what you’re going to do but seek prevention from pregnancy or disease. Elebiyo says “don’t do what everyone is doing and seek practical reasons and learn some not so obvious benefits attached to abstinence.” The first of which is the inescapable truth that a woman’s virginity is not the purchase price of love, not even in marriage; much less outside of it.

In My Virginity is Ruining My Sex Life, Elebiyo draws on stories from her own life, and from the lives of others, to show youth how to direct their sexual energies into productive ventures that will enhance their lives.
