Simple Tools Gain Momentum

StandUpStix’s interlocking "sticks" fit into the bore of the door's hardware, locking together to hold up to three doors. "For a painting project consisting of 24-36 doors, a typical painting crew of 4 painters spends 8 hours prepping and painting the doors. With these products, 2 painters can prep and paint the same doors in 2 hours," states Tom Allen, inventor.

StandUpStix will launch a new painting tool, the HoldUpHinge at the upcoming National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, NV on May 6-9. The HoldUpHinge will be available for sale in May, 2008. The tool offers another simple solution to holding up doors, and is a perfect complement for the StandUpStix.

The 2-piece HoldUpHinge, comprised of 4" flat panels, are attached to the door's hinge recess, then interlocking joints connect to hold 2-3 doors. The tool has reinforced 'bridging', making it strong enough to hold commercial doors, heavy custom or glass doors, or doors without standard bored hardware. StandUpStix and HoldUpHinge tools can be used together to create a long chain of connected doors."The tools are so simple, its scary!" said Tom Terranova of Tom's General Painting.
