Apr 25, 2008 – It is the fifth edition of the directory for the Newry and
Mourne area, and is our most successful ever. The LINK directory will assist local residents in finding local suppliers, keeping business and jobs local to Newry and Mourne, as well as bringing new business and jobs into the area.

The directory is one of a series of 17 published throughout Northern Ireland with the core aim of
assisting local businesses to support their local communities by providing information on services and products available locally. ”Newry and Mourne is obviously a vibrant, thriving area,” said Patricia Allen, “ with a significant increase in the number of new small businesses this year and also an increase of businesses from outside the immediate area specifically requesting to be included in this directory. The quantity and diversity of business in Newry and Mourne is amazing.”
The LINK directory has received praise from local business leaders who have emphasised the
benefits the directory will bring to both the local community and the Newry and Mourne area in general. More importantly praise has come from local residents and businesses who
have described it as”an excellent wee book”. Local business groups have also said that by
providing local information 'we are helping local firms better service their local markets, thus
enhancing their growth potential, and ultimately local job creation'. LINK Directories currently employ over 25 staff locally at their offices in WIN Business Park, Newry.
