Speaking to members of the international and local Moroccan press, tourism and luxury property market boom continues in Morocco said the Moroccan tourism minister Mohamed Boussaid. He claimed that the tourism in Morocco is very healthy and there is no sign of slowdown.
Morocco attracted a total of 7.4 million international tourists last year and the figure for 2008 could top this.
The Moroccan tourism minister said: Tourism's growth was 15 per cent and in Febrary 2008. So we are seeing an acceleration in tourism growth.
The Moroccan tourism minister added that the country is set to meet its target of attracting ten million visitors from overseas in 2012.
