Surely that can't be the true motivation considering when Bush & Co. were up for reelection in 2004, they endlessly spewed fear of war without end over the airwaves. President Bush has numerous times referred to himself as a "war President" with intestinal fortitude able to handle the casualties of war. So what gives?
Americans are well aware of the reality of war thanks to 9/11 on U.S. soil and other historical U.S. debacles in "theaters of war" such as Vietnam and Iraq. Yet by denying our brave fallen national media coverage, U.S. soldiers sacrifice in the line of duty serving their country is not sufficiently being recognized.

Were the troops serving and dying for Bush & Co. or the United States of America? If the latter then open the gates of Arlington Cemetary and let the American people see the cost of war, the lives lost, and the heartfelt sacrifice of the soldiers serving our country.

Iraq was not worth the life of a single American soldier. Nevertheless, we must respect, admire, honor and love the men and women who died for their country serving bravely and loyally under command - no matter how flawed and fatal the commands were that came from those in power in Washington.
In so doing, by honoring them and giving them the national recognition they deserve we call to remembrance their sacrifice and hold our national leaders accountable who hastened to go to war in violation of international treaties and UN protocol.
At the very least President Bush and the Pentagon owe these heroes public funerals and public access upon family request, so that we can properly and nationally honor our dead.
