1st Annual “Western Mass Open House Weekend” – May 17th and 18th

The area’s premier for sale by owner service urges all private home sellers to join forces on May 17th and 18th by participating in this “first ever” grass-roots community event. While there are many homes on the market now, many areas have not seen price reductions and agent commissions remain at around 6%.  Homes offered for sale by owner may provide buyers a way to increase their buying power, as private home sellers can price their property without regard to paying an agent’s commission.  On a $325,000 home, the savings could be as high as $20,000.

One of the more time-consuming tasks buyers face is finding FSBO (for-sale-by-owner) properties. Private home sellers are often fractionalized by their advertising and marketing expertise, and often do not take advantage of methods which help buyers find them easily. The Western Mass Open House Weekend is a way to rally together for a common cause – exposing each of their homes to a wide market of interested buyers and referring them to other FSBO seller’s homes.

They will also receive a FREE open house sign, organizational materials, and information to give to buyers on how to take the next step.
