Apr 23, 2008 – Nancy Margaret Mulroy attended Charter Oak State College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in English. She is currently a public information officer for the Hartford Police Department. She has been in this position since 2003 and is responsible for all media relations and acts as a spokesperson for the department. In this capacity, she is engaged in tasks such as acting as a liaison to the media, writing newsletters, creating press releases, delivering speeches and acting as administrator of the department’s website. Nancy is an expert on communications and the news media and is able to perform her duties with ease and efficiency. She is a member of the C.C.C.M.A. and N.A.G.C. and has been invited to offer presentations at the Advanced Leadership Institute of Washington, D.C. on Social Media for Government; How to engage a benefit and Web 2.0. Nancy’
s personal pursuits are equally ambitious and she maintains an active agenda of community service and altruistic undertakings. She is president of the Neighborhood Association and a member of the Democratic Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, golf and reading The Economist and Police Chief.
