Apr 23, 2008 – San Antonio, Texas will be hosting Dawn Rochelle’s Miss Latina World Pageant, marking the fifth time in 15 years that the city—one of the country’s largest--has played host to this top-line event.
The pageant, to be held for the fourth time at San Antonio’s Arneson River Theater (the first was in 2000), will feature 50 beautiful women of hispanic heritage from all over the world.
Prior to the show, contestants will visit a variety of locations throughout San Antonio to prerecord segments and attend special events. Tourism locales featured in the show will include the famed riverwalk, Spanish Missions, and intriguing culture.
The pageant’s host city boasts attractions that rival the beauty of the contestants themselves. Only in San Antonio can you stroll the famed River Walk to hear the sounds of mariachis and relax with riverside dining; shop at the largest Mexican market north of the Rio Grande and immerse yourself in the culture like a local. Take advantage of the surrounding locale and go horseback riding at a dude ranch or pan for precious stones at Natural Bridge Caverns, named by USA Today as, “one of the 10 greatest places to get nature on film.”
