Internetoutdoors Ltd Receives Surge Of Team Building Bookings After New Corporate Manslaughter Act

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 23, 2008 – Internetoutdoors Ltd, the Gower based corporate team building company is urgently looking for a new team of outdoors instructors to help organise various  outdoor team events in Swansea, Brecon, Devon and other parts of the UK, in 08/09. Would you like to organise “ice breaking games“, bush craft, plan  corporate treasure hunts in the wilderness and eat worms for a living?

“We have had a surge of corporate bookings which is very encouraging in gloomy financial times,” says Patricia Hodge, Director of Internetoutdoors Ltd.
 “We’ve just run a very successful internet campaign us and now we urgently need to employ extra instructors to help us with the demand we have created.

I think our unique approach to team building is appealing to companies who have taken the new Corporate Manslaughter Act introduced on 06 April 08 seriously re: macho team building. Deaths on the corporate bonding circuit are rare, but the new legislation has sent shivers through those responsible for organizing the office day out. Now companies can be charged with manslaughter should, say someone from accounts break their neck while doing some “dangerous” team bonding activities.”

Companies may be starting to blacklisted anything that is potentially dangerous: White-water rafting, hot air ballooning, bungee-jumping, water sking etc and they seem to be looking for safer alternatives. Internetoutdoors Ltd is responding to this by providing fun, mellow team building activities such as bush crafting, treasure hunts, collective drumming sessions, beach art, herbal walks and various other green  activities in the wilderness and beach picnics.

Perhaps clients are now looking for team building events that are fun, competitive and mentally demanding rather than the macho army styled mud assault courses of the past? Are team building, leadership, management issues and green issues better discussed around cosy campfires rather than on the paint ball firing range?  

Internetoutdoors Ltd is hoping to recruit a new team of instructors who are reliable, calm in a crisis and who have an excellent  sense of humour. xperience of running expeditions in remote parts of the world, camping in the wilderness and food foraging would be an advantage. And some experience of running corporate team building events would be a bonus. All instructors need to be well qualified, have first aid qualifications and ideally be great at cooking in the great Gower outdoors.
