• Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston Garner office, located at 1002 Vandora Springs Road, will hold a barbeque dinner and fundraiser on Friday, May 9 from 4-8 p.m.
• The fundraiser is being held to benefit the Me Fine Foundation in support of the Pepper family, a recent Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston client, and their son, Carter, who is fighting a life-threatening illness called Franconi Anemia.
• Tickets for the dinner are $10 per person and raffle tickets are $5.
• Cash prizes will be given out to raffle winners.

Don Walston, one of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston’s founders, formed the HPW Foundation in the late 1990’s so that sales associates and employees could have a forum, through the company, for serving the communities in which they live. Since its inception, the HPW Foundation has given more than $688,000 to local, not-for-profit organizations to benefit countless individuals throughout the Triangle. Me Fine Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides assistance for children and families at the Duke Children’s Hospital and the North Carolina Children’s Hospital at UNC. The foundation was founded by friends and family of Folden Lee IV, who was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in May of 2003. During his 15-month battle with this disease, Folden’s family found that along with the tremendous stress of caring for a child with a life-threatening illness, most families struggle with overwhelming medical costs, as well as personal outpatient housing and living expenses while their child is undergoing treatment.
