The hotel beat off stiff competition from other leading city hotels in the city to win the prestigious title, including the new Hilton Deansgate.
Paul Marlow, General Manager at the Marriott Worsley Park Hotel & Country Club, commented:
“At Worsley Park we are all very proud to be awarded the title of Manchester’s Large Hotel of the Year. This follows on from last week’s annual UK & Ireland Marriott Conference where the hotel won five awards, one of which was for the highest guest satisfaction scores of any Marriott hotel in country.

The nomination procedure for the award was both lengthy and detailed. The hotel’s initial application provided evidence of it’s considerable business success and also how the venue works with local community groups and invests significant time and money in staff training,
The hotel also showed judges how it continues to focus on environmental issues and improve energy saving measures, as well as its role in supporting the wider Greater Manchester visitor economy. The award was clinched following the visit of a Mystery Shopper, who described the hotel as “Fabulous.”
