Apr 22, 2008 – Paul A. Steele is the director of aviation environment for IATA, an organization that represents, leads and serves the airline industry. It fights for the interests of airlines across the globe, challenging unreasonable rules and charges, holding regulators and governments to account and striving for sensible regulation. Presently, IATA represents 94% of scheduled international air traffic and its members comprise more than two hundred and forty leading passenger and cargo airlines. As director of aviation environment, Paul is primarily engaged with advising the International Transportation Association on environmental strategies. He is an expert on strategy implementation of environmental programs for the industry and holds a diploma in industrial studies as well as a bachelor of Business administration degree from the University of Loughbrough in the United Kingdom. Paul is equally active with regard to his personal endeavors and maintains a full agenda of community service, altruistic efforts and leisure activities. He supports the WWF and several other charitable organizations that benefit wildlife preservation. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, walking, attending theater and listening to music. He is also an avid reader of Business Week and supports The Prince of Wales Core Facility.
