Apr 22, 2008 – HBIF and the U.S. Small Business Administration signed a Strategic Alliance Memorandum that officially joins the efforts of both organizations in helping start, maintain and expand small businesses. Francisco "Pancho" Marrero, SBA District Director and Yanina Rosario, HBIF President, shared their excitement and pride in signing the memorandum.
HBIF first started working very closely with the SBA in 2003 when the organization was recognized as a business technical assistance provider for the Small Office/Home Office and Pre-qualification programs from the SBA.
HBIF Board of Directors and Mayor Iorio served as witnesses of the signing.
