PRLog (Press Release) –
Apr 22, 2008 – Once upon a time it is not. The most recent release from LeRue Press, LLC in Reno, NV is more of an inspiration to children to handle their frustrations in a positive way. Based on true events, Pick Me, Pick Me by Elizabeth Horton, is a cute story about Miguel and how he yearns for his teachers attention. Pick Me, Pick Me comes in a hardcover design and full color.
Publisher, Lenore Halfide, stated recently, “We will have add-on products to go with the book. An audio version was just completed and will be ready for sale any day now. We will also be offering a coloring book in the future.”
Lenore Halfide and Janice Hermsen, sisters, co-founded LeRue Press, LLC, originally called Publishing from the Heart. “We ran into some problems with the name when a teacher and publisher from back east e-mailed and demanded that we discontinue using the name stating it was an infringement on his company, said Halfide. “His company had a similar name. On the advice of our attorney, we decided to make the change.”
As it turns out, it was a great idea! LeRue Press, LLC is based on the name of their parent’s company, LeRue Enterprises. “The name is derived from both our parent’s names, Leonard, our Dad and Ruby, our Mom.” stated Janice Hermsen. ”Dad was forced to retire when he became ill and started a printing business from home. He used presses where you had to actually set the type!” Fortunately, LeRue Press, who also owns LRP Printing, has more updated equipment.
