The Flex is considered a new, feature-packed crossover from Ford. It is being advertised in a unique manner. Four prototypes of this vehicle are being driven along the coasts, where it is expected to find its niche market. The idea has been to arouse potential buyers’ interest by handing out features in bullet points in advertising material. This guerrilla tactic, developed by the company’s sales and marketing lead, Jim Farley, appears to be paying dividends, with over 5,000 orders currently having been generated.
Jim Farley plans to hold such road shows in more cities to create greater awareness of the product, which is expected to make up for Ford’s sluggish sales in the crossover segment in the recent past.
The round silhouette and a mix of old and new styling are believed to be the model’s selling points. It is being hailed as a fresh and unique crossover.
