Students from Three Ohio Universities Shadow Eisen Management Group for Pro-Am Day Presented by Cincinnati PRSA
Newport, KY — April 21, 2008 — Eisen Management Group participated in the annual Cincinnati Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Pro-Am Day on Tuesday, April 14. The event gives students from area universities the opportunity to shadow advertising, marketing and public relations professionals on the job.
This year, Eisen Management Group welcomed Ashley Reno from Miami University, Lindsay Beish from University of Cincinnati, and Dimitar Popov from The Ohio State University. The students spent the morning learning to craft a press release, record a video log, and assist EMG staffers in a marketing brainstorm session.
“It’s difficult to describe what the day to day process of working at an agency is really like. If I didn’t work here, I don’t think I’d even be able to adequately describe what we do, so shadowing is a great way to see if this is a profession in which you want to be involved,” EMG president Rodger Roeser said. “This is a great opportunity for soon-to-be graduates to ask questions and see public relations and marketing professionals in action. We look forward to hosting another group of talented shadows again next year, and are happy to give a little of our day back to assist the next generation of professionals.”
This is the first year that EMG has participated in PRSA’s Pro-Am day. Rodger Roeser is a former president of PRSA, and during his tenure, the chapter created a young professional mentoring program, a non profit job bank, and the Blacksmith Awards ceremony to honor the work of public relations professionals in the Greater Cincinnati area.
